Full-service interior design for vacation homes

An Investment in Memories

We design private vacation homes that bring the people you love together and create the setting for lasting memories.

Designed for Experiences.

A vacation home is more than just a beautiful place to stay. It is the container for memories your loved ones will cherish forever.

01

Transport

The home creates an immediate separation from everyday life, helping everyone slow down, settle in, and feel like they have arrived somewhere special.

02

Facilitate

Gathering spaces make it natural for the group to cook, eat, talk, play, celebrate, and spend meaningful time together—the moments that become lasting memories.

03

Support

Thoughtful spaces for rest, privacy, accessibility, and individual comfort help everyone feel at ease and enjoy their time together.

Aesthetics Aren’t Enough

Creating a memorable vacation home doesn’t just mean making it look good. It also means considering how the home feels, functions, and supports the people who use it.

01

Feel

Feel sets the emotional tone of the experience. A beautiful space helps you and your loved ones feel calm, comfortable, and transported out of everyday life, so you can be fully present with one another. Those are the moments that become lasting memories.

02

Function

Function is what allows the home to support time together. It means designing around how people actually gather, move, cook, play, and relax, so the layout brings the group together instead of dividing them into disconnected spaces.

03

Friction

Friction is anything that pulls people out of the experience. Anticipating those small points of resistance keeps time at the home feeling effortless and allows everyone to stay focused on the people and moments that matter.

Our process

Full-Service Interior Design

From the first conversation through the final reveal, we lead your vacation property through seven distinct stages.

  1. Initial fit assessment

    Discovery

We begin with a conversation about the property, your goals, the scope, and what you need from a design partner to determine whether the project is a strong fit.

  2. Mutual commitment

    Agreement

If the fit is mutual, we confirm the scope of work and formalize our agreement to move forward together.

  3. Designer call + profiles

    Vacation Home Profile

After the agreement, you meet with your designer to build on what we learned during discovery and provide the additional information needed to create your property’s style profile and guest profile.

  4. Complete design direction

    Vacation Home Design Package

You receive complete design boards that bring the full direction for your property into view.

  5. Ordering + receiving

    Procurement

We procure the items specified in the design and manage ordering, tracking, receiving, inspection, and the issues that inevitably arise along the way.

  6. Placement + coordination

    Installation

We manage movers, handymen, and other trades as every item is placed and styled according to design principles and installation best practices.

  7. The finished property

    Reveal

You walk into the completed vacation property and experience the finished home for the first time.

For Owners Who Want an Expert-Led Result

Our best vacation-home projects happen when owners care deeply about the time they’ll spend there with the people they love, trust professional design expertise, and are ready to delegate the hundreds of decisions required to bring the home together.

  • You want a finished, ready-to-enjoy home — not a list of pieces to source, track, approve, and coordinate yourself.
  • You care about how the home supports time together, rest, and the way your family lives there more than weighing in on every individual furnishing decision.
  • You’re hiring us for our judgment, not just our access to vendors, shopping sources, or installation support.
  • You have a whole-home or meaningful multi-room project and want one cohesive vision carried through every space.
  • You’re aligned with the quality and feel of our work, and you want us to carry the design from concept through installation.

Frequently Asked Questions

When should I bring 1584 Design into the project?

As early as practical. Starting early helps avoid rushed selections, unnecessary rework, and compromises caused by long lead times or decisions that have already been finalized.

What does full service include?

Design planning, sourcing, ordering, vendor coordination, delivery management, installation, and final styling. The exact scope is confirmed during project assessment.

Do you do renovations or remodels?

No. We furnish and accessorize existing spaces with furniture, rugs, window treatments, art, lighting, bedding, and accessories. We do not provide construction, demolition, or structural remodeling.

How long does a project take?

Most projects take 8–16 weeks from design kickoff through installation, depending on the home’s scope and product lead times.

What if we occasionally rent the home?

If the property is designed primarily around your own family and friends, the vacation-home path is still the right one. We can account for occasional guests without letting rental considerations define the home.

How involved do we need to be?

You share your goals and preferences at the beginning and provide feedback at key points. We handle the detailed sourcing, ordering, coordination, installation, and styling.

Can you incorporate existing furniture?

Our process works best when we can design the property as a complete, cohesive whole. We generally begin with a clean slate, though we can discuss genuinely meaningful heirloom pieces during the initial assessment.

Do you work outside Southern Utah?

Yes. We are based in St. George and serve the Zion corridor and Las Vegas, with select vacation-home projects accepted nationwide.
